New Creation Chapel International (NCCI), started meetings as a house Church in Accra on 4th October, 1998 with a handful of believers and was formally inaugurated as a church on 20th December, 1998, the Founder being the Late Reverend Emmanuel Abraham Paddy Brew. NCCI was founded on the Word of God, 2nd Corinthians 5:17 which brings out the reality of the new nature that believers in the Lord Jesus Christ have by virtue of their faith in the finished work of Christ. The founder, having accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal saviour at a very early age, and having a strong influence from the Scripture Union, University Christian Fellowship, as well as a member of one of the fledgling evangelistic ministries of the late 1970s to the 1980s developed a deep love for the Lord and devoted his life to Christian ministry. At the beginning of the Charismatic movement in Ghana in the 1980s, the founder was involved in the teaching of the New Creation realities. These are teachings about who a believer in Christ is; that is the identity, privileges and the responsibilities of the believer. At a time in his ministry, when there were some difficulties with leadership direction in the church which he headed, it dawned on him to start his own ministry with the vision to propagate the New Creation realities. Indeed, the name of the church was influenced by this vision. Rev Paddy Brew was an astute servant of God, who was full of the wisdom and leading of the Holy Spirit and also the word of God; and always wanted things to be done according to the word of God. He believed in preaching the whole counsel of God and sought in his lifetime to raise balanced Bible-based believers and leaders for Christian ministry. He stood for Holiness and would always institute corrective measures, in love, to restore any of the flock who fell short of God’s standards. He was also a man of great faith and prayer. Paddy Brew was a prolific teacher, writer, counselor and a mentor with the word of God as the basis. He had a passion for mentoring the youth, unearthing their talents, and positioning them to fulfil their God-given mission on earth. His ministry also touched and impacted many lives in terms of climbing higher the academic ladder and rising higher in the professional and cooperate world. He wanted people to continuously improve themselves in every aspect of life, supporting financially those who needed help to move on with their educational or vocational / professional pursuit. His ministry affected people to determine to break from their disadvantaged background and/or situations and make a good life for themselves. He had a big heart; a father who desired success, both spiritual and physical, for his flock and loved to see them grow in grace. He stood for excellence; encouraging believers to be planners and organizers; He had a saying that “being a believer does not mean kissing your brains good bye” Aside being heavenly minded, he was worldly wise. He was a man full of ideas and taught believers to create wealth, based on the principle of the word of God such as starting small and building gradually without compromising their Christian beliefs. Though he was not a politician, he took his stance to condemn any wrong doing in governance that may not auger well for development of our beloved country. He was always abreast of social issues as reading the newspapers was a habit. He passed on to glory in April 2013 and the mantle of leadership fell on Rev. Daniel Ogbarmey Tetteh a very humble servant of God, with similar qualities as mentioned about the founder. This is the personality trait that has led NCCI over the years and shaped the spirituality of the church. The evolution of the church's leadership structure has been marked by significant changes, from its early days led by Rev. Brew and a small team to its current formalized structure under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Daniel Ogbarmey-Tetteh. The church now includes various departments and ministries addressing different aspects of church life, with a strong emphasis on mission-oriented activities. The leadership at New Creation Chapel International has encountered various challenges over the years, including transitional hurdles, balancing tradition with innovation, engaging with the community effectively, managing resources efficiently, and overcoming resistance to change. Despite these obstacles, the leadership remains steadfast in its dedication to the church's mission and the values established by Rev. Brew continually finding ways to serve the community and adapt to external challenges.
